Llangelynin is one of the oldest churches in Wales, and is certainly on of the most beautiful and remote locations. The church building dates from the 12th century, but it is thought to be the site of an earlier church established in the 6th century.
There is a healing well in the churchyard which was probably the water source when the church was established.
If you decide to visit Llangelynin, take your time on the extremely narrow laneway that is the last couple miles. There is a small car park at the end of the road, and the church is a short walk up the hill and around a corner.
